屏蔽雙絞線，這是一個廣義的名字。

FTP(Foiled Twisted Pair)

鋁箔屏蔽雙絞線，實際上目前屏蔽雙絞線就是鋁箔屏蔽雙絞線。所以STP、FTP實際是一樣的。相對UTP，FTP/STP只是在芯線的外面多了一層鋁箔，目的在於減少信號的衰減。Vcom超五類、六類、六A類鋁箔屏蔽雙絞線，使線對平衡性能更加穩定。

SFTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair)

雙屏蔽雙絞線，這種線的結構是在FTP/STP的鋁箔基礎上再加上一層鍍錫銅編織網，最外面是PVC外被。由於多了一層鍍錫銅編織網，可以大大減少外界磁場，信號的干擾，也可以減少內部信號的衰減，增加線纜的拉力。Vcom超五類外包單面鋁箔+編織網雙平屏蔽層，能高效屏蔽外來電磁干擾;七類全屏蔽雙絞線的加厚鋁箔屏蔽層+128編織網能有效阻隔串音與外部電磁波干擾。
